Oh when the Fylde.....

...... go marching in.

This time last year I b lipped about AFC Fylde winning the Lancashire County Cup Final.

Tonight I have had the pleasure of being involved behind the scenes assisting with the kit and the sports therapy.

The opposition tonight was different to last year but the outcome was the same.

To be honest we were in charge of the game all night.

We took the lead early and although our opponents, Chorley, equalised, we took the lead right on the stroke of half time.

In the second half Chorley came at us as we knew they would.

But they were held at bay and we broke twice late on to win 4-1 in the end.

So one job done.

It's been a very good 48 hours because the youth team won their County Final last night 5-1.

Attention switches back to the league on Saturday. We are currently in second place, 3 points behind Chorley.

It's all play for.

We also have another Cup Final to look forward to but I shall miss it because I'll be at the London Marathon that day.

What a season finale it promises to be.
