Herschel Chairs Sculpture
This is a sculpture of two chairs located at Bath Riverside.
They are a tribute to William Herschel, who discovered the planet Uranus in 1781 and to his sister, Caroline who helped him develop the modern mathematical approach to astronomy.
I love the detail in the sculpture, the books, the telescope and the planets on the seating. Such a fabulous idea.
