Green Square Railway Station Precinct
Green Square Station is on the Airport Railway line and it was opened to coincide with the Olympic Games in 2000. The line has never been a great success but it may be in the future as the Green Square is developed to provide high density housing.
When I first moved to Sydney this are was mainly heavy industry but that has all changed now.
The sculpture is titled "Gapstone", the sandstone was quarried during the excavation of the site.
I cycled down here this morning as the coffee we enjoy is roasted a short distance away. They use a hot air roaster and it is worth a 25 km trip to purchase a kilogram.
Maybe worth checking LARGE.
