Edinburgh wintery and wonderous

As part of the Homecoming celebrations we checked into Edinburgh Castle for free this evening. The streets were already resembling a scene from a Victorian novel with icy fog enveloping buildings, but the view from the ramparts made it really special with the whole city looking like a giant funfair (not just the funfair bit...). Magical stuff.
