Colebrook Reconciliation Park

Here is another photo wider angle, this time in colour from the Colebrook Reconciliation Park. It is an emotional memorial to the children of the Stolen Generation, and their families.

'Grieving Mother' statue

This park is the result of the untiring efforts of the Colebrook Tjitji Tjuta, the Blackwood Reconciliation Group, the Aboriginal Lands Trust, and other groups and agencies.

It is a fitting tribute to the memory of these Aboriginal children of the Stolen Generation, celebrated by the 'Fountain of Tears' and the 'Grieving Mother' statues, sculpted by Silvio Apponyi.
