Subtraction

Adam came home with some maths homework that he was struggling a little with. When kids learn subtraction and particularly carrying/borrowing a lot of them really struggle with what to do when there's a zero next left and *why* you do what you do.

Problem solved with Lego. I reckon there's very few worthwhile mathematical concepts that can't be taught with Lego.
