DDW Challenge: Desuetude - state of disuse
Oh dear. I’m out taking photos before breakfast. No hope now.
It’s another busy day, beginning with a visit to the Apple shop for a one-to-one (or rather one-to-two, as Anniemay was eavesdripping) on Aperture. In the afternoon I’m attending a Singing for Breathing therapy group and Anniemay is off driving round the countryside looking for signs of disuse. Or so she tells me.
The wet winter and my negligence as landlord have contributed to the desuetude shown above. For the past 5 years or so blue tits have nested in the blue house; the black one and the cream one however have remained vacant for the entire period.
Now they lie abandoned in a corner of the garden awaiting disposal. On a happier note, a new and freshly painted blue nesting box has been installed (given that seems to be the favoured colour) and already the little birds having been having a nose (or rather beak) around. No tenants as of yet though.
