The rich baking smells from this place reach one from way down the street. It’s hard to resist the devil as he tries to force you to enter (but the prices help). Warm lighting and colourful packaging all add to the temptation.

Work’s starting to come in faster. Suppose I should be pleased, but the relative leisure of the last few weeks (nothing much happens in Brazil until after Carnival) has given me a taste for the dolce far niente.

Spent most of the day trying to sort out phone and Sky bills. The phone companies are world experts at producing mind-bogglingly complicated plans and bills. I might just start to feel litigious…
