Petra

They tell us that this week the tourist numbers in Petra have picked up dramatically. The locals were doing a good trade today giving camel rides in front of the Treasury and horse and donkey rides to various parts of the site.

It's a huge necropolis, a far bigger site than I expected. Sarah's back was bad this morning so she decided not to come on the organised tour today; we'll be going back tomorrow.
