Carved apple

A lazy blip... This is a shot of an apple carved by my dad. It is about 5cm high and 4-5cm in diameter. It opens to create a small container (not that it is currently used for anything) such as for ear-rings of something small. The lid is carved so perfectly that the angle of the apple surface is perfect from any direction, and when it is turned upside-down the lid remains in place. I don't know of any hand-made creation more perfect. I wish I had inherited his skills and I miss my dad.
