How are things on the West Coast?

Out last night to see Interpol at the Academy. Got there in time to see the last few songs from Royal Blood, good and I wish we had caught the whole set. Next on were the truly awful Temples. Don't think I've hated a band so much for a long whiles (probably Everything Everything support to … eh… Interpol!!). Great quote from Pitchfork about them;

Noel Gallagher of Oasis, squinting recently at the bounteous musical landscape, dubbed the new Kettering-based quartet Temples "the best new band in Britain." If you've read anything about Temples, you've likely this already absorbed this fact. That is because—and forgive the bluntness—Noel Gallagher's endorsement is easily the most remarkable thing about Temples.

So anyway they eventually pissed off and onto the main event. In short they were fabulous. All the faves were there; Obstacle 1, Slow Hand, The Heimreich Manoevre, Rest My Chemistry, Spies and Evil.

Great band another good night at a gig.

All it needed was a wee Yank to soak up the atmosphere….. :(
