In rural Northumberland
Today's long walk was in "The Shire", which in our case means Hexhamshire and is south of the market town of Hexham. It was a beautiful mild day but the winds were gale force, especially during the highest part of the walk. Ideal weather to blow away any cobwebs.
We were just about to turn up a lane when this horse and foal appeared. The black labrador seemed very proud to be accompanying them.
Later we had to protect a pair of amorous toads who were "at it" on the path from 30 pairs of boots. They were very well camouflaged with the sandy soil.
Back home I had a small mercy mission to next door's computer. My recent fix was fine, but my good friend, G, had decided to download some new antivirus software and could not uninstall the previous one. It wasn't easy, but we got there. (He has promised not to download anything without prior discussion - we will see!)
Last night at the Photo Club I was amazed to come second in the colour competition with this young man, one of my favourite photos from India. I was also the runner up in colour for this year and will apparently receive a trophy for the year. Amazing.
