Post Anaesthesia .......

His little tongue hangs out after an anaesthetic........ and he whimpers a lot even though he seems quite happy! Drove him to his specialist this morning for a check up which included x rays and hence an anaesthetic. He wasn't under for long but slept like a baby in Little Ro's arms all the way home. Although he recovers quite quickly he has moments when he doesn't seem to know where he is or what to do and just stands or sits glassy eyed, with his tongue out. He's doing well, new bone can be seen growing to fill in the break in his leg and all is as it should be at this stage. He's not fully healed however and we have to be careful with him. He's allowed a 15 minute walk either end of the day increasing by 5 minutes a week until his leg is stronger. Not sure how this will work out as I can see him scrabbling along on his lead and doing his leg not a lot of good! Anyway, tomorrow it begins!
