Goldfinch(s)

A flock of about 30 flew over, all chattering away, and descended into the tree tops.

Lovely birds, definitely a favourite. Lovely liquid trill to their calls, and such fabulous plumage. I always think the spots on their tail feathers look like the silver buttons on the back of an old fashioned doorman or footman's coat.
