Princes Street is Open

It's St Andrew's day and some public bodies had given their employees a day's holiday, and so they augmented the throngs of tourists and others in the newly opened to traffic Princes Street. It was comforting to see the buses stacked nose to tail along the roadway and so familiar and so Edinburgh!

It was clear and sunny but so bitingly cold it was possible to imagine stumbling on an igloo round the next corner. The insidious north wind almost persuaded me to buy one of the cosy looking hats on offer at the German Market...... but not quite.

David has just proved his technical brilliance by sprinkling magic dust on my disabled freeview box and getting it to work again...... Bravo...... he's definitely worth his keep!
