Ladybird Ladybird .....

I spent the afternoon in the garage, sheltering from the wind and tidying up the many pots and planters that I had put in there to overwinter. One of my fuchsias has begin to bud, and all the pelargoniums are throwing out new leaves.
While I was removing a lot of the dead foliage and annuals I noticed a small movement in the middle of the compost and twigs. Suddenly, this little ladybird emerged from the leaf litter into the light. I think it's probably too early for her to be out in the garden as the weather is due to get colder here over the weekend. I've found out how to construct an insect hotel, and will have a go at making one tomorrow and will try to transfer her into it.
