Humming on the Nest

This little hummingbird is continuing to provide entertainment for us.

I don't think there are eggs yet because she seems to take off about dusk and not return till morning, but I could be wrong; maybe she comes back and I just can't see her once darkness arrives. Her location on the patio is at the most active spot. It is right where we open the sliding glass door and head out with the three pooches, who are not always quiet as they make their exit from the house. They just don't understand that we may have baby birds right here in our back yard.

I'm thankful for the camera our kids gave me on my November birthday. I'd never be able to capture this with my iPhone. Soon I'll get the ladder and take a look into the that little itty-bitty cup of a nest to see if there is an egg.
