Medieval Sculpture!!!

Voluntary work today at the Bradwell Abbey Discovery Centre - weeding the herb garden. It is on the site of a scheduled ancient monument. Only a small amount of the original abbey survives as it was demolished at the time of Cromwell. The stones were used to build a farm and buildings and these today are used as offices and a teaching centre.
These sculptures are near a play area and while we were working a coachload of high viz jacketed junior children arrived for some lessons. Better than being in a classroom!
