Mystery

Many years ago, I was given this seed/bulb which apparently can survive in the ground if there has been no rain for decades and then will blossom as soon as the rain falls. It was given to me as a metaphor of the Jewish people who had been out of their land for nearly 2000 years and then arrived back in 1948 and blossomed.

I know that there are many issues around this concerning the Palestinian people but I am amazed at the wonders of creation and how seemingly impossible things can happen to plants and nations.

To be honest, I have no idea what this is called or even whether I have it showing the right way up - a mystery.
