Primulas

I was going out to play with some of my Photo Club buddies. We'd planned a trip out to the moors but as the weather had gone very cold and dull we decided to postpone and I did a bit of Photoshop tuition instead.

After a spot of lunch, it was just starting to rain so I quickly nipped out to the garden where these lovely primulas are growing. I liked the mix of the yellow primroses with their pink tinged cousins behind them. They make me smile and I hope they'll do the same to you.

Did you know that the word primula is the Latin feminine diminutive of primus applied to flowers that are the first to open in spring. Before they invented Snowdrops obviously.

I used my 50mm macro lens for this so that's two days I've managed without the fisheye. Can I beat my addiction?
