Grounded

Charlie's not allowed out to play, but he still has his chores. I went out with him to walk Betty after school. It's been a long day writing about furniture and I needed the fresh air too.

"I don't suppose I'm allowed to climb trees while I'm grounded, am I, Mum?"

"It's allowed as long you are with me" I replied.

I almost kept a straight face. Charlie did quite a good job of pretending not to notice.
