Schlehe
Seven minutes after spring started officially (17:57 here), I stopped by the blackthorn (Schlehe or Schlehdorn here).
I've checked it several times last week - whenever the weather allowed a cycle after work. It looked perfect today - masses of white great smelling blossoms on the patch between the street and the cycle lane.
And I saw the first two bumble bees for this year - they were huge, if not the biggest I've ever seen. I wonder if it has something to do with the mild winter.
We had the most perfect first spring day. Check the temperature now - it's almost 8 o'clock and has cooled off already. Spend my lunch break in a street café sitting in the shade (it was too warm in the sun!).
