Lorna Bailey Cats
This is a sort of emergency blip, as we had a very real emergency at work. Just before the end of formal school, the fire alarm went off and away in the main building there was a real fire! I did manage to grab my new leather jacket which had my car keys in it as it was cold and windy, but the rest of my things are still there in the prep room. I took two colleagues home that otherwise could not get back which I was very pleased to do. It's now a waiting game to find out if we are back at work tomorrow or if we can collect our belongings when it is safe to do so.
I have four Lorna Bailey Cats here to hopefully cheer things up a bit! Always colourful and highly collectable, I first discovered them at an antiques fair at Goodwood Racecourse. Although not in regular production now, they were produced from 1995 to fairly recently. There are many designs and variations and I have a little booklet that contains a selection of what was available.
One can certainly thank God that everyone is safe and hope that things will return to as normal as possible for all at work. A very sad day.
