Reasons my kid cries...

... because he was told he had to ask before grabbing a raspberry from Mummy's birthday cake!

Moments before he'd been happily singing Happy Birthday to me - toddlers are funny creatures!

Had a lovely day even though I was at work. D woke up, told me it was my birthday and sang a line of Happy Birthday to me. Then we travelled in 1st class to London on the train because my expectant mother season ticket upgrade has arrived - we had seats, and a table!! And you can see that my day ended sweetly, tearful toddler not withstanding.
