Up on the roof
I met my lovely friend Sally in town where we went to the national Portrait Gallery to see David Bailey's Stardust exhibition which my friend Karen is in, her portrait really stood out, it's amazing!! We both loved the exhibition, especially the photos of his wife and children and the Rolling Stones.
We ate lunch in Trafalgar Square where a dreadful busker was noodling endlessly and tunelessly on an electric guitar…
Then I went to ME, an amazing Hotel on the Strand to meet Nicolas and Laura, we had a great meeting and they showed me around, inside it is black marble and has a huge white marble pyramid inside which they project jellyfish and patterns on to, can't describe it really, but it was beautiful and huge!
We went to the roof where they have a restaurant and roof gardens, the views are amazing.
Nicolas gave me a goody bag with scent and sweets and chocolates in it! They are lovely people and I look forarad to seeing more of them!
Back home I collected Gulli from his friend's house where he had had lots of fun, chatting to the other parents there I discovered that Gulli had had a supply teacher on Tuesday that the children didn't like and when I asked Gulliver about her he said he had been looking at something on his desk and the woman had come up behind him and forcibly yanked his head around to look at the front of the room, I am furious, I told him I will be making a formal complaint and that if this woman ever shows up again he has my permission to come home.
