Katie had to go to nursery early today. She was the very first child there. She had to go early because Mummy had a far-too-early appointment at a city centre Police Station about our stolen bike. This time is the first of the times that she has talked about the police involvement in it all. I suspect partly because she's older (she was just turned 3 last time, and 2 1/2 the time before) but partly because this is the first time we have seen the bike again, so it's been a much more involved process with the police for the last 10days o or so. When the police called on Saturday last week, to say the bike we had seen was ours but had been sold, it finally sunk in for her that it was gone for good. She seems to like the knowledge that the police are trying to help us.

Anyway. here is PC Katie, sharing a few words with the less-than-fabulous creature that took our beautiful bike away.
