Magnolia Stellata

AKA: Start Magnolia

I planted this years ago (for the wife) in our front garden. but like everything else in the front it has struggled.
Not really sure why; but things just seem to dislike growing in it.
When we moved in there was a horrible dead looking hedge. Once it was removed you could see the woodworm in the wood.
After that I did replace a lot of the soil, with fresh soil; and it frequently gets the entire compost heap dug in or mulched onto the top of it.

So, although it's only one flower (at the moment), I celebrate every little bloom on it.
