Traverse

The Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. Scotland's writing theatre. Established in 1963, it moved from the Lawn Market to its current location on Cambridge Street in 1992. The building, as you can probably tell, was purpose built. I am not sure if I like it. The roundness makes it quite pleasing and echoes the round Usher Hall which it sits next to, although in my opinion, it's design is far less superior to the Usher Hall. The theatre has a reputation for cutting edge contemporary drama. I feel like my blip is becoming 'scenes from the bus stop' - I must get out more!
