IXI IXI IXI...

This is the pattern across the back of our wicker armchair.

When I looked at it, I first found myself thinking of roman numerals....then realised you can have IX, XI, and XII...but IXI doesn't mean anything! (Or does it?? If anyone knows, please enlighten me!)

Then I thought, maybe it looks like a line of men...walking uphill...in perfect step...carrying something above their heads...through a series of doors!?

Now I'm thinking....I should stop over-analyzing!!!
