Kingfisher

A U3A birding trip to Potteric Carr, near Doncaster, gave me the opportunity to photograph my favourite birds, a pair of Kingfishers preparing a nesting hole on a small island in front of the Piper Marsh hide. Here the male bird was taking a rest on a nearby perch. Unfortunately the birds were quite distant so cracking close-ups were not possible.
