For Those in Peril...
I feel like I have short changed those of you who take the time to stop by and view my journal, I have not really written much in recent days and for that I apologise.
This past week or so I have struggled a little, struggled to be positive, to motivate myself and struggled to balance work and uni with uni being totally hectic as the end of the semester approaches for some of us. Some of you will know how close I came to withdrawing from the course at the turn of the year but with the support, encouragement and unerring belief of my friend made me carry on. It was a total effort to do so as I have not enjoyed the course as a whole although some individual electives have been very interesting.
Today the weather was again horrid but as the day progressed there were all four seasons within the space of an hour. The shot today is the Pilot cutter, this little boat is the life blood of mariners, ensuring the skilled pilots get to their charges and navigate the reaches of our river safely. My friends dad was a Pilot and it was always a job I aspired to but it was never meant to be, my life at sea limited to working on the herring trawlers. I always smile when I see the Pilot cutters and remember long summer days canoeing and rowing from the RWSABC and watching them approach and racing out to hang in the wash for fun.
I hope you enjoy the shot...
