Disconnect

I stayed overnight in Albany to attend some training. I had my free breakfast this morning in the hotel lobby while the TV was on. I don't watch that much TV in the first place and I avoid any restaurant that has one.

My current temporary living situation does not afford me a TV. I can't say that absence has made my heart any fonder for all the hype and noise.

I once heard a motorcyclist say that driving in a car is like watching TV.

Looking west as the sun was setting over the Adirondacks: the air is heavy with balsam, a fire crackles in the wood stove.
