Hit the Bricks

Last year there was a street art festival called Hit the Bricks. The organisers invited street artists to create works of art of various walls and sites around the city. This is my favourite one. It was done by a Melbourne -based artist "Adnate" and is a striking portrait of an Aboriginal child. I see this every morning on my way to work and am never disappointed. There was a bit of controversy a few months back when some idiot defaced it. The council sent cleaners around pronto and it was within a few hours back to it's beautiful self. It has not been touched since such was the outrage.

Thanks so much for all the faves on some of the backblips. It is hard work doing them all, I should have come back sooner.
