Slides from the past
I must admit digital media has a big advantage especially when storing them. I must have thousands of slides in boxes that won't see the light of day again. After speaking to G on Saturday I thought this would be a good blip for him. I'll briefly describe them clockwise from the top left.
1. Common working conditions in the Bering Sea.
2. Me landing a turbot.
3. Sailing into Captains Bay Dutch Harbor Alaska to offload our fish.
4. Masks made from fish heads. Which were from the shortraker rockfish.
5. Breaking ice. The most hardest physically demanding job that I have done.
6. Mt. Shishaldin on Unimak Island. My most favorite place in the world.
I was once told by my father (who is a pro photographer) that because of the remoteness and the lack of photographers that I could have found my niche in photography a probably would have even made some money from it.
