Snow Queen

Late start again today after a few drinks last night.
Today is a trip to the Amethyst mine in a sledge pulled by one of the Ski Doo's. J was a big fan of the Narnia books while she was growing up, so the Turkish Delight was brought along so she could have some while on the sleigh ride, like the snow queen does.
Interesting talk about how the Amethyst was created before we went to a covered section of the hillside to look for some Amethyst. This consists of some small rocks and soil where they have thrown the off cuts of Amethyst over. You are then given a small pick to scrape away the rocks with to find the small bits of stone. You are then allowed to keep one of the bits you find. A bit staged but still good fun.
Came back and had a nap before dinner. Tonight we were going for a traditional meal in a Kota a bit further up the road from Snow Game. Managed to get Flip Top there with no problems. Meal was nice. Parsnip soup and Salmon cooked by the fire.
We managed to collect some sledges before heading out tonight so we stopped off on the sledging slope near the ski slope for a bit of late night fun. Great time.
