Scilla
Another chill but beautifully sunny day. I wasn't very creative with the visuals today because there were other fish to fry. But I did pick up the camera and go on a ten minute stroll.
These blue scilla have been growing in my garden for many years. Originally I planted them around a Chinese Witchhazel, but one winter the shrub succumbed to the cold. Grass grew into the bed and I let it. The scilla seem happy to naturalise in the grass and have slowly been spreading. I like this sort of laissez faire gardening and with about one and a half acres of land round us, I can only exert a pretty limited influence on what does and doesn't grow here anyway.
