Sparkly eyes

Taking photos of an active 3 year old isn't the easiest, however for a brief moment Millie sat still and let me take some photos of her this afternoon. I like this image as she looks very thoughtful and she's clearly watching carefully at my attempt to capture a decent photo.

My new 5omm lens arrived today so this is very much an experimental photo, especially as i've braved manual settings. Very much a novice but on a mission to learn! Looking forward to taking some close up pics of our new baby, here's hoping the subject matter isn't too much of a distraction from the learning!
