I moved into my new apartment today. spent all morning packing and throwing everything into any bag i could find. Luckily, I had no furniture to move and most places here come furnished, so that was a big help!
My moving Angel and friend Susan came to help me move. I was only moving down the hill but without her and her car I would have spent days trying to do this. We packed everything into her car. Crammed it all in, in one delivery. My old building had an elevator so that part was easy. My new building does not...so that was a bit painful , but all in all we moved insanely fast and got the whole process done in like an hour.
This is my new living room in my new 1 bedroom apartment. No more roommates and I really love the new place. The building is owned and lived in by one family. They are Jordanian and insanely nice people. All of them are very successful and work hard here in Amman. The man, my main landlord, he works at the National Stadium in Amman as a Mechanical Engineer. His father, that sadly passed in 2007, worked for 20 years as the Director of the National Stadium and worked closely with the King of Jordan. My landlords wife is a dentist, his brother a doctor, his aunt that lives in the building owns two beauty salons in Amman and his mother that lives here as well works at the American School, where most diplomats send their kids, as an Arabic teacher.
The building is beautiful and its perfect location to my school and so close to where I was living before, so its not a big adjustment, which is great!
