The old engine house

I went to Llanberis in Snowdonia for a couple of nights. It was a very slow journey as it seemed that half of North Wales was being worked upon. I counted eight sets of traffic lights, two of which involved waiting for an escort vehicle!
During the afternoon I walked around Llanberis including a visit to the Vivian slate quarry which finished quarrying in 1958 and is now flooded and used by divers and climbers. There are various buildings and trucks still there including the engine house in this picture.
Afterwards I went for a walk above Llyn Padern amongst the beautiful sessile oak woodlands.
