Proud
A few weeks ago five of my piano pupils took their exams and I am so pleased, relieved and proud of them that they passed, four with high passes, one with merit. I had the great pleasure today of handing out some certificates.
My usual Friday routine was thrown today by needing to conduct "Ocean Commotion" at E and R's school. It involves the year 3,4 and 5 all singing together. Poor E is was aware that it could be a bit awkward for a 10 year old to have her loopy and sometimes over enthusiastic when it comes to singing leading, I hope I didn't embarrass her too much.
Since R Sr. is still away the children and I had tea at the Harvesters. We were all surprised how many people we knew there. We had earned our treats as the children had come for my "run" with me.
In my reading of Daniel I have been really challenged about our view of the things that have power over is and how crippled we can be by those things, how they can hold us back. But Daniel and the rest of the gang in the stories they had such a calm assurance that God was is control, He is more powerful. Makes me wonder whether I live my life in response to God's power?
Father, give me an open heart to your wonders, that I and others
with open eyes may glimpse heaven.
