Canal Basin

After supervising the installation of my mother's headstone, I had a walk along the canal. The Union Canal basin, and all the new development that now surrounds it, is new to me; it's a part of the city I knew as a youth, but hadn't been to for a long time. It was interesting and, for the first time for a long time, I could see the attraction of city dwelling. That comes hard for a devoted country-phile.
