Gracie the photographer

Gracie took this picture of me when we was fooling around at the kitchen table this evening. It's been such a long week this week, and so it felt extra special tonight to switch off, enjoy a beer and giggle at stupidity with my girls. The perfect tonic.

I've not been able to say No to work lately and I'm struggling to keep on top of the amount of it. It's not a good recipe for my work life balance, but I'm a slave to the money with Dublin, Anglesey and Portugal all lined up.

The kids saw my huge chalk drawing of 'the news' when they arrived tonight, and after the typical worries of plane crashes and kidnapping (they watch too many news programmes) they seemed chuffed to bits to be going a holiday! The last thing Gracie said to me before going to sleep was 'I can't wait to go on holiday, daddy'. 'Me too' replied the other two... It makes all the hours I'm putting in worthwhile.
