Silfra
Today we drove up to Silfra in the Thingvellir National Park. The dive is through the narrow gully created by the European and American continental plates drawing apart. At one point the plates are less than a metre apart.
It is an amazing place to dive, not least because the visibility is exceptional. It feels like flying over the rocks.
The weather topside wasn't very pleasant, biting winds and driving snow. On the drive back to Rekyavik we got caught in a white out, briefly.
Here are G & R in the "Cathedral" at Silfra - I've wanted to dive here for years so it's been an excellent day.
