Kenilworth Castle Ruins

This is part of the wall of the castle which was originally built in Norman times and you can clearly see the cross-shaped slit through which archers could fire down on potential attackers. The timbered building in the background was the Tudor Stables but they have now been converted to house a very nice tearoom for visitors.
