Allotments

This morning, we went down to Aden Park which is a fifteen minute drive from where we stay.
First, we took the dogs for a walk, then on to the allotments which are part of the park.
My first task was to assemble a little bench that my wife had bought.
"Easy," I thought.
"A fifteen minute job at the most," I thought.
After two and a half hours, I had completed it.
I just could not get the bits to fit together properly. Then, when I had just the seat to put in, I realised I had put another part in upside down, so I had to take it apart again!!
I won't repeat the words I used, but they were bad ones!!!
I got the dogs to test it in case it collapsed!!
It didn't.
There are 43 allotments of various sizes. This is the first year of them.
Each one has a little shed, a water butt and a composting bin.
