WAY OUT

I actually wanted to go in but Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge was closed to the public. So, here is the lovely old door leading out onto Sidney Street. I rather like the top grating that reminds me of a portcullis. The college was founded in 1596 by Lady Frances Sussex and was famously attended by Oliver Cromwell, whose decapitated head is buried somewhere in the grounds. The location is only known by the Master of the college.
