Happy Birthday Jacob, one today..

This spectacular cake, was made by my daughter Rosslyn, for a good friend. A cake shaped as a figure one, with lots of decoration, reflecting, I think, the image of one of Jacob's favourite TV shows.

Rosslyn found her talent for baking and decorating cakes a few years ago. Entirely self taught, the thing I like is the cakes themselves are beautifully baked, and taste great.

I am especially delighted, because my father, who sadly did not live to see our girls, was a Master Baker with his own business in Maybole, Ayrshire. As a young boy, one of my jobs on a Saturday morning was to help make the doughnuts! So, I suppose some would say baking runs in the family.
