HEY! Watch where you're putting your wing Mate!!

We decided to take a bit of a drive out so we headed for Tryards' country (East Northamptonshire, I think) and a visit to Stanwick Lakes. I've been before but not for quite a while and someone told me that they have built a new hide that was quite good for bird-watching so I thought I would check it out. It's a double height hide with an upstairs and probably would have been quite good if there had been any birds to watch on that part of the lake but I can't blame them for that, can I :-))
Regardless of that we had a lovely walk which was very bracing when the freezing cold wind blew at us but it got rid of the cobwebs and there were plenty of birds around on the other lakes, so it made a nice change :-)
