birds - no amphibians

After I spotted the toads on my Tuesday run through the hermitage I figured I go back today to see if I can find some. There was plenty of frog spawn, a few dead ones and three herons who had the same idea as I. Well, they were also unsuccessful - at least while I was watching. This particular one was extremely patient with me and let me get very close. In the end I was maybe a metre away.
