Not what you think
A swastika is probably not the first symbol you would think to see on a World War 1 memorial.
This beautiful piece of granite commemorates the men of Brampton, Chesterfield who fell in WW1.
Before the swastika became associated with and tainted by the Nazi party, it was used to depict the triumph of Christian good over evil, hence its use on the memorial.
